A VISION FOR NOURISHING AND SUSTAINING OUR INDIANAPOLIS COMMUNITIES

ABOUT  Food Comida Rawl 317

Everyone eats. Everyone is a stakeholder in our local food system. This project aims to learn more about the eater experience in Indianapolis from youth to the elderly. As the City of Indianapolis and Marion County explore policy and resources to positively impact the community food system, hearing from eaters is a priority. This information will be coupled with focus group discussions on the food supply chain to shed light on the many community assets and inner workings of our local food system. As a result of our data collection efforts, we will submit a 5 and 25 year vision and plan to the City of Indianapolis to inform future policy and resource considerations.

Working in food communities throughout the 317 area code, we aim to hear from the breadth of cultures, neighborhoods and people who participate in the food system.
